Yuzu dreams of her mother but cannot recall her face, prompting her to search for a pair of pajamas her mother made. Although the garment is now too small, she insists on wearing it. During play, Kippei accidentally tears the fabric. He purchases a replacement, yet Yuzu remains attached to the original. The following day, Kokoro discovers Kippei on the school roof attempting to repair the damaged item. To help, Kippei asks Kokoro to pick up Yuzu from preschool, allowing the two to spend quality time together while he works on the mending.
