Ep. 3: Hak and Yona flee guards in mountains while Hak hides a hairpin to help her move on.

Hak and Yona journey through the mountains to evade pursuing guards. Yona remains dazed and incapable of performing basic tasks independently. Hak discovers Yona's hairpin and deliberately conceals it, hoping she will forget her past. Although Soo-won murdered her father, Yona retains lingering feelings for him. Realizing the hairpin is missing, she wanders far from camp and falls into a snake pit. Hak saves her after being bitten himself, scolds her for her recklessness, and finally returns the hairpin to her.
