Ep. 2: Anne faces Rachel's insults and forms a lifelong friendship with Diana Barry.

Anne starts her day with farm chores and breakfast alongside Marilla and Matthew. She anxiously asks if she will be sent away, but Marilla confirms she will stay if she remains a good girl, requesting to be called Marilla. Rachel visits to warn Marilla against keeping Anne, but Marilla stands firm. When Rachel insults Anne’s appearance and hair, Anne becomes furious, declaring she hates Rachel and will never forgive her. Marilla reprimands Rachel for the insult. Although Anne refuses to apologize initially, Matthew encourages her the next day. She performs a show-and-dance for Rachel to make amends. Later, Anne wears a flower crown to Sunday school, drawing Marilla’s chastisement. Anne apologizes and suggests returning to the asylum, which Marilla rejects. Anne then meets Diana Barry, and they instantly become bosom friends, vowing eternal loyalty. Anne praises Diana to Marilla, and Matthew gives her sweets as a gift.
