Ep. 13: Karasuma faces a sadistic replacement PE teacher who challenges his student to a knife duel.
Akira Takaoka, a former colleague of Karasuma from the Ministry of Defense, arrives at Class 3-E to replace Karasuma as the physical education instructor. Although his cheerful demeanor initially endears him to the students, his true personality emerges as a cruel and violent trainer who relies on intimidation. Karasuma objects to this harsh method, prompting Takaoka to issue a challenge: he will select a student to duel him with a real knife. Trusting a frightening aura he previously sensed from Nagisa, Karasuma chooses him for the fight. Contrary to Takaoka’s expectations of fear, Nagisa applies his assassination training to gain the advantage and secure victory. When Takaoka reacts with violent denial, Karasuma physically subdues him, and Principal Asano terminates his employment, allowing Karasuma to resume his duties.
