After Fumi breaks up with Yasuko, Kuri drives her home and mentions that Kazusa, the third-eldest Sugimoto sister, will marry Kagami in September. Yasuko shares this news with the school newspaper, prompting Akira to confront her. Akira then meets Fumi, who skipped school, to thank her for her consideration. Later, Kyouko invites Akira to Kou’s summer house and asks her to include Fumi and her friends. Akira inadvertently reveals Fumi’s breakup to Kyouko, who subsequently visits an annoyed Yasuko. Finally, Akira, Fumi, and Kyouko meet at their usual cafe, where Kyouko and Fumi break down in tears over their difficult situations.
