Simultaneously, the high school division prepares for and performs Wuthering Heights to positive acclaim. After the show, Fumi attempts to present the bouquet to Yasuko, who is crying among the cast following Kagami’s praise. Fumi confesses her feelings, noting that Yasuko loves someone else, but Yasuko dismisses the matter as past history. Ultimately, Fumi fails to give Yasuko the flowers, leaving the emotional exchange unresolved between the two characters.
