Jul 2, 2009Fumi Manjoume starts her high school journey at Matsuoka Girl's High School after her family relocates to Kamakura. During her elementary school years, her closest friend was Akira Okudaira, who is now attending the prestigious Fujigaya Girls Academy. There, Akira meets a classmate named Kyouko Ikumi. On the first day of school, Fumi and Akira cross paths during their commutes but fail to recognize each other immediately. The reunion only occurs later when Fumi and her mother visit the Okudaira residence. Additionally, Fumi learns that her cousin Chizu is getting married, a revelation that deeply shocks her due to her romantic feelings for Chizu.

Jul 9, 2009Fumi considers joining a club after a handsome upperclassman exits the literary club and invites her to join. Later, she meets Yasuko Sugimoto, a basketball club member, and immediately joins that team. At Fujigaya, Akira and Kyoko join the drama club to work backstage for an adaptation of Wuthering Heights. Yasuko is asked by the Fujigaya drama club to play Heathcliff. Fumi attends the production with friends Youko Honatsugi, Misako Yasuda, and Miwa Motegi from Matsuoka. While exploring the Fujigaya campus and admiring its architecture, Fumi sees a crying Kyoko exit a room.

Fumi does not go with Yasuko to rehearsal since she feels awkward being around Kyōko. Akira notices that Yasuko is very popular with other girls, and sees why Fumi would not want to come. Kyouko realizes the other girls are not actually in love with Yasuko. Kyōko had asked Yasuko to treat her like nothing had happened between them, but Kyouko says she was merely acting strong. Yasuko goes to see Fumi at night and gets her to agree to come help with the reception desk the following day. Akira chides Fumi for forgetting to tell Yasuko she has been feeling jealous of the attention Yasuko has been receiving from other girls.

Aug 6, 2009Akira feels embarrassed as her family joins her, leading her to the dining room. Yasuko comforts the lead actress in The Little Prince while Fumi prepares to buy blue flowers for her.
