Sinbad informs the king of Tessa about a location where he caught fish, prompting the revelation that the area was once ruled by Mahmud, who vanished thirty years ago. Sinbad leads an expedition to the lake, where they observe strange lights and hear a crying voice from a nearby mountain. They discover a palace and meet King Mahmud, who was cursed by his former wife, the sorceress Sugaru, after her shadow exposed her true nature. Determined to free Mahmud, Sinbad and Shera steal Sugaru's comb, the source of her magic. Sinbad compels Sugaru to reverse the curse, restoring Mahmud and his realm. When Sugaru attacks, Sinbad throws the comb into a fire, forcing her to retreat.
