Sinbad and Shera are separated from Ali Baba during a storm and board a merchant vessel. Inside, they find a roc egg mistaken for a gem. After hatching, Sinbad names the chick Rockle and cares for it. The parents attack the ship, taking the bird and the two travelers to an island. Once Rockle departs with its family, Sinbad is captured by natives planning to sacrifice him to a saurial monster. Rockle returns to save Sinbad, carrying him to safety at a desert oasis.
