Sinbad and his companions discover a hookah belonging to his uncle Ali in a small town. A salesman claims to have retrieved it from a haunted ship in the desert. Sinbad identifies the vessel as Ali's and travels to it. Satajit appears, revealing he raised the ship to trap Sinbad and that the Blue Demon King turned Ali to stone. Satajit summons sand warriors, but Aladdin disarms him by taking his crystal orb. Sinbad uses the orb to command the sandmen against Satajit. The sorcerer retreats as the ship sinks into the sand. This encounter strengthens Sinbad's resolve to rescue his loved ones from the Demon King.
