Ep. 13: Akari and Alicia visit Piazza San Marco for New Year's with Ai

For New Year's, Akari accompanies Alicia to Piazza San Marco, where Ai arrives unexpectedly. Ai reunites with Akari's friends, including Akatsuki, Woody, Aika, Akira, Grandma Akino, Alice, and Athena, whom she knows only through letters, but embarrasses Akari by revealing private gossip. When President Aria flees into the crowd, Akari and Ai chase his footprints through the snow to an old canal. They witness snow-free buildings from Akiko's era and cats like Ami. A ringing bell restores their city, and they view the vision as Aqua accepting Ai. They return to the Piazza for midnight celebrations until sunrise. Rowing home, Akari and Alicia exchange New Year's greetings, while Akari silently hopes for happiness for all residents of the beautiful planet.
