Akari and Alicia gather firewood, allowing Akari to keep a snow bug companion. Alicia invites the trainees to a hot spring, noting Akari has never visited. While Mr. Mailman and Akari watch sunset smoke, he praises her hair bow, and Alicia lights the fireplace. At the communal bath, Akari feels guilty about skipping practice, but Alicia explains hot springs help endure winter. Akari agrees, citing snow bugs, sunsets, and fireplaces as reasons to like the season. Alicia shows them a secret ocean-connected corner. Akira and Athena join them. As snow falls, the snow bugs migrate to the forest, including Akari's.
