Ep. 12: Akari crosses a bridge to meet Akiko in Neo-Venezia's past before terraforming

Akari visits a snowy bridge outside Neo-Venezia and encounters a sunny, dry canal where she meets Akiko. Akiko does not recognize Akari’s uniform or the term undine, leading both to assume they are new immigrants. Akari notices a memory card format identical to one from episode 4 and realizes she has traveled to the past before Neo-Venezia was built. People gather nearby to witness the arrival of water from terraforming, viewing it as a sign that Aqua has accepted the colonists. Akiko deduces Akari’s origin from her comments and explains that cats link the past and future. After bidding farewell to her future, Akari crosses back over the bridge, returning to the snow of her own time.
