On a hot midsummer day, Akari eats lunch alone until Akira, Akatsuki, and Al join her. Akatsuki argues with Akira, prompting Al to recount a childhood memory involving Akatsuki, Woody, and two new children. In the flashback, the group excludes the newcomers until one boy outjumps Akatsuki on a swing, leading to a slide race that Akatsuki loses. Back in the present, Alicia reveals she was one of those children, alongside Akira. Akari observes how the four friends’ lives intersect within the large circle of Aqua, feeling excluded due to her recent arrival in Neo-Venezia. Akira reassures her that she is already at the center of their friend group. The episode concludes with Athena rowing past and various characters meeting by chance.
