Ep. 11: Akari transports glassware and defends Neo-Venezian craftsmanship against tourist prejudice.

Akatsuki’s older brother assigns Akari her first commission to transport glassware by gondola. At the workshop, she overhears a tourist dismissing Neo-Venezian glass as inferior to Venetian products. The supervising apprentice initially refuses her help but later apologizes, explaining his frustration over people judging the craft solely by tradition broken when Venice sank. Akari argues that Neo-Venezia is a unique, living city cherished for its own identity, not a fake imitation. She insists the glass is beautiful and genuine. Upon delivery, Akatsuki’s brother jokes that the apprentice has become Akari’s fan and thus a rival to Akatsuki.
