Detective Higeoyaji encounters a boy named Sharaku while searching for a kitten. Sharaku asks for help finding his missing mother, leaving only a mysterious sphere as a clue. Meanwhile, Skunk commits crimes to steal treasure from a secret room by announcing each offense. Atom joins the investigation and becomes Higeoyaji's assistant after chasing Skunk. The robot-hating detective and Atom work together to uncover the truth behind the apparent locked-room crime. They discover that Skunk is using Gadem, a special magnetic robot capable of free assembly, to commit the offenses. Sharaku's mother had previously discovered the mechanism of Gadem. To save her and capture Skunk, Atom and Higeoyaji confront the magnetic robot controlled by Skunk.
