The RIS discovers a body killed by poison gas at a staged crime scene, fearing an imminent release at the mayor's charity gala. While investigating the massive hotel undercover, the team prevents an attack on the mayor. The criminals subsequently seize control of the building's automation systems, threatening to release the gas. Koku is drawn to the event and follows Izanami to the rooftop, where the situation escalates as the antagonists maintain their hold over the facility's infrastructure.
