Ep. 1: Gustav St. Germain investigates strange events while mafia members recover from fatal wounds

In 1932 New York City, Daily Days newspaper vice president Gustav St. Germain and assistant Carol investigate strange events spanning dates from 1711 to the 1930s, attempting to identify a main character from twenty candidates. Meanwhile, Runorata mafia member Gustavo hunts Dallas Genoard during a turf war with the Gandor mafia family, which leads to the attempted murder of Luck Gandor and Firo Prochainezo of the Martillo Camorra family. Despite sustaining hundreds of bullet wounds, both men recover completely within seconds. In 1931, Firo, Ennis, Maiza Avaro, Luck, and his brothers await the Flying Pussyfoot train. The FBI examines bodies near the tracks, finding Ladd Russo telling Lua Klein he will kill her. Chane Laforet floats by on a suitcase as men retrieve crates from a river. Upon arrival in New York, Firo, Ennis, and Maiza meet Isaac Dian and Miria Harvent, while Nice Holystone supports an injured Jacuzzi Splot and Czeslaw Meyer disembarks unharmed.
