In 1932, Eve Genoard watches dredging operations on the Hudson River while the Daily Days fails to assist her. In 1930, Dallas attacks a Runorata member until Luck intervenes, and later kills Barnes to steal immortality elixir bottles he mistakes for alcohol. Meanwhile, Firo investigates a warehouse fire caused by two Martillos, encounters Ennis, and stops Dallas from killing the recovering Barnes. In 1931, Ladd threatens Lua aboard the Pussyfoot before leaving to follow Jacuzzi, who is wanted by the Russo. Nice orders Nick to secure the dining car, leading to a hostage situation involving the Russo and disguised Lemures. Nick flees when outgunned, allowing Isaac and Miria to escape. Jacuzzi discovers mutilated conductor bodies, while Maiza and Firo briefly meet Isaac and Miria.
