Ep. 1: Koyomi saves Hitagi and learns about the weight-losing crab god from Meme Oshino

Koyomi Araragi catches Hitagi Senjogahara falling from a height and notices she weighs almost nothing but keeps this secret. He consults class chairman Tsubasa Hanekawa regarding Hitagi’s past illness. Hitagi then confronts Koyomi, threatening him while explaining that a crab stole her weight. After Koyomi promises silence, she staples his mouth but leaves when he demonstrates rapid healing by following her. They visit Meme Oshino, who identifies the culprit as the weight crab, a deity responsible for removing her mass.
