Dan learns from Preyas that Runo and Marucho lost a battle against Shun, causing him to become furious. He joins them when they return to see Shun again. Dan jumps over a wall despite warnings, avoiding a booby trap that catches Runo and Marucho. Dan finds Shun with Masquerade, leading to a three-way brawl. Dan and Shun encounter Masquerade’s partner, Bakugan Hydranoid, which has a higher power level than any other Bakugan. Shun emerges as the winner of the fight. He finally agrees to rejoin the Battle Brawlers and mends his friendship with Dan.
