Despite Mashiro’s attempts to stop him, Nakai returns home after reflecting on his past behavior. Takahama requests a new editor due to creative conflicts with Miura, but the chief editor insists his work will eventually win approval. In a separate development, Niizuma agrees to illustrate Aiko Iwase’s manuscript, promising to maintain the quality of CROW. Hattori, the new editor, is confident about serialization but asks Niizuma to adjust his art style and use a pen name temporarily to appease the committee regarding his dual workload.
