Ep. 11: Kouga Strategy and Iga Pursuit Lead to Blinding and Death

Gennosuke and the Kouga devise a plan to send a scroll and letter to the Iga Tsubagakure, declaring their intent to travel to Sunpu with the listed ninja to appeal to the retired shogun and Hattori for peace. They warn of full retaliation if attacked. Tenzen accepts the challenge, dispatching Nenki and Hotarubi to scout. In Sekiyado, the Kouga wait out the rain until Nenki and Hotarubi locate them. Hotarubi’s snake spits an eye-sealing potion onto Gennosuke, blinding him. Nenki remains to fight while Hotarubi returns to report to Tenzen. Hyouma uses his Doujutsu to compel Nenki to commit suicide. Meanwhile, Saemon pursues Hotarubi and wounds her during the escape.
