Miyako Asami is held captive by Dr. Umezaki, who uses an insect to control her mind. Shou Yanagi rescues her, and they escape the laboratory with assistance from the Tyran. Meanwhile, Keita and Hinoki are captured by worms that have returned to attack Akamatsu Industries. Betterman struggles to defeat the insects until a trick secures victory for the heroes. The Tyran falls into a swampland whirlpool, revealing the hidden laboratory below. Keita and Hinoki locate the group but encounter a strange scent that incapacitates them with laughter. Dr. Umezaki has also trapped Betterman, intending to dissect him while the heroes face these new threats.
