Jadeite and Morgana launch a late-night radio program named "Line to the Heart" to harvest human energy. Homeroom teacher Haruna Sakurada and Naru send love letters to the show and receive energy-absorbing pins, causing them to fall into comas. Usagi investigates the radio station undercover with Luna’s help, receiving a Transformation Pen that allows her to assume any professional identity. She disguises herself as a radio host to confront Jadeite, marking their first face-to-face meeting. Usagi eventually transforms into Sailor Moon and defeats Morgana. An enraged Jadeite attempts to kill her, but Tuxedo Mask intervenes, forcing Jadeite to retreat.
