Hitsugaya defeats Luppi with a Bankai sneak attack while Urahara neutralizes Yammy using an invention. Grimmjow nearly kills Ichigo but is stopped by Rukia, who is then saved from death by Shinji Hirako. Hirako, wearing a Hollow mask, overwhelms Grimmjow before the latter can release his Zanpakuto. Ulquiorra intervenes, ordering all Arrancar to return to Hueco Mundo because Orihime has agreed to accompany him. This event concludes the Hueco Mundo Sneak Entry arc, which is the ninth episode of the twenty-part series.
