Izuru draws blood from Abirama, who releases his zanpakutou, Águila. Yumichika and Charlotte spar while insulting each other's appearance, agreeing that the most beautiful fighter wins. Charlotte injures Yumichika with several attacks. After Yumichika cuts Charlotte's hair, Charlotte enrages and releases his zanpakutou, Reina de Rosas. Charlotte traps Yumichika in a prison of black thorns, concealing Yumichika's death and hiding his reiatsu. Upon detecting the hidden reiatsu, Yumichika reveals his zanpakutou's true form, a sword with kidou abilities. He uses this power to drain Charlotte's reiatsu, securing his victory in the fight.
