Ichigo, Kon, Orihime, Uryuu, and Chad watch over Nozomi at Kisuke Urahara's shop. Rukia instructs Ichigo to strategize in his room. Orihime hosts a barbecue to help Nozomi open up, but she flees. Kon, Orihime, Uryuu, and Chad search for her. Kon finds Nozomi and leaves her with Rangiku, unaware she is an impostor. After realizing the deception, Kon attempts a rescue but is defeated by Rangiku's reigai. Ichigo, Rukia, Renji, and the real Rangiku arrive to save Nozomi, causing the reigai to escape. Later, Nozomi begins eating after Kon offers her food from the barbecue.
