Byakuya struggles against his false counterpart until he releases his Bankai to secure a victory. Simultaneously, Komamura finds it difficult to handle Soi Fon's reigai, as its speed and abilities appear superior. Both combatants eventually clash with their Bankai in a desperate final attempt, resulting in a draw. Elsewhere, a frustrated Yamamoto unleashes a powerful wall of fire that seems to engulf the imposters challenging him. In the world of the living, Ichigo's friends become concerned after Urahara informs them that he is unable to detect Ichigo's spiritual pressure.
