Uryuu wanders alone and encounters Yoshino, who explains how the Bount's extended lifespan causes mental decline. Kariya announces to the Bounts that he has located a Quincy and will guide them toward a new era. In the Soul Society, Kenpachi Zaraki of the eleventh division discovers that Maki Ichinose, a former member he thought dead, is actually alive. Unbeknownst to Kenpachi, Ichinose has joined Kariya's group. This segment covers the Bount arc, dated 11/28.
