Ichinose recounts his history as an eleventh division Soul Reaper who witnessed Kenpachi kill the former captain. He tried to avenge his superior by fighting Kenpachi but was easily defeated. Disillusioned, he left Soul Society and pledged loyalty to Kariya. Kariya then engages Ichigo, overpowering him. Meanwhile, Ururu assaults the mansion with a bazooka. Yoruichi rescues Ichigo, and the group retreats. This segment is part of the Bount arc, specifically episode 14 out of 28.
