Mao suspects Saya is Kai's romantic rival and tasks her with catching him while keeping Hagi busy. At the subway, Saya nearly falls but is saved by Kai, who gives her a key to their father's bar. David returns to work. Saya and Hagi recall a promise to kill her. The group learns the American government uses Cinq Flèches to create chiropterans for the Corpse Corps. Julia explains Diva's singing boosts D-base conversion from 3% to 100%. Nathan shows Solomon Diva and the babies, whom Amshel cut from her stomach. Solomon tries to kill Diva to prove loyalty to Saya but is defeated and wounded. Nathan questions if a chevalier can survive such injuries.
