Julia, Kai, Lewis, and Saya discuss Diva's pregnancy and David's slow recovery while Lulu visits Saya. Julia shares findings about the Schiff experiment and Corpse Corps, noting Diva's blood can suppress the Thorn in The Schiff. Kai delivers a blood shipment to Moses, fulfilling an agreement where The Schiff avoids attacking humans if the Red Shield provides supplies. Upon returning home, Lulu is forbidden by Karman from seeing the humans due to their differences. During an argument, Moses and Lulu discover Karman is infected with the Thorn. Karman flees, passing James unknowingly. At sunrise, Lulu asks Kai and Saya to help find Karman. He attacks a nurse at a hospital but sees a vision of deceased Schiff members, including Irène, and spares the woman. That night, James visits Moses, revealing his body is mostly Schiff and he was rescued before Saya's blood destroyed him. He offers to help cure the Thorn. Moses finds Karman on a roof intending to die in the sun but stops him, promising to save him.
