Kusanagi delivers a cell phone from Kunakida to the prime minister, urging the TAC to save Momiji without sacrificing her. The minister reveals an Arigami spy leaked Momiji's photos, sparking public outrage amid volcanic eruptions and rapid plant growth. As the Kushinada pulse advances, the TAC links its blood to a melody resonating with Momiji and Kaede. Momiji recalls Kaede mentioning the matsuri rite and requests to visit the ceremony site. Kunakida grants the team a day off to decide their fate. They disperse: Takeuchi and Kunakida visit a park, Matsudaira sees family, Kome and Yaegashi ride motorcycles, and Momiji flies with Kusanagi. That night, Kome admits fear to Yaegashi, while others prepare with loved ones for the final battle.
