Upon learning that Sasuke is stationed at the Hidden Sand Village to guard against potential threats, Boruto travels there to resume training with his mentor. During his journey, Boruto encounters two isolated villagers and defends them from a group of delinquent thieves who are attempting to claim official ownership of the territory. Upon arriving, Boruto discovers Sasuke and Gaara facing off against Urashiki, who is targeting the tailed beast known as Shukaku, also called the One Tail. Urashiki utilizes puppets created by Toneri to trap Sasuke in another dimension. This event marks the beginning of the One-Tail Escort Arc, which consists of seven episodes.
