Ep. 229: Kurobane and Jujumaru pursue Mozuku while Team 7 confronts them during a misty night mission.

Kurobane and Jujumaru torture their captive and head toward Konoha to retrieve Mozuku. Cho-Cho admires Kawaki, but Mozuku treats him rudely. Konohamaru reports to Naruto, and Shikamaru links murders to Kawaki’s client. Team 7 spots the pursuers. Cho-Cho shares food with Kawaki, who opens up to Mozuku while the enemies spy. During a misty night, the pursuers trap Team Shikadai and steal the box from Mozuku. Kurobane leaves with the box, while Jujumaru stays to eliminate the team. Cho-Cho rolls through the barrier to free the others but falls under Jujumaru’s control. Shikadai uses Shadow Possession to control Cho-Cho and surprise Jujumaru. After a strenuous fight where Cho-Cho is injured protecting Mozuku, Kawaki and Shikadai defeat Jujumaru. Mozuku reveals he seeks a cure for an epidemic, sanctioned by the Feudal Lord to monopolize it. Kawaki decides to help Mozuku return the medicine, disobeying Shikadai, and tells him to take Cho-Cho back to the village.
