Ikada offers Boruto a chance to die if Sarada and Mitsuki watch, but the team refuses. Boruto convinces them to stand down as the Funato beat him. Seeing the child killer Ikada hesitate, Boruto jumps into the stormy sea. Mitsuki and Sarada break down, refusing revenge, which prompts Ikada to rescue Boruto instead. As Team Sarada rejoices, Ikada orders a fleet retreat. Araumi attempts to fire the Chakra Cannon on the Shinonome, but Kawaki interrupts and slices his throat, incapacitating him. Boruto and Ikada reconcile like friends, while Buntan, Metal, and Kyohou abandon their vengeful attitudes. This event concludes the Great Sea Battle of Kirigakure Arc episode 22 of 23.
