Ep. 290: Kawaki Sneaks Out to Meet Code While Boruto Tracks Him
Shikadai and Inojin attempt to manage Kawaki and Boruto’s frustration regarding a sensory shinobi assigned to monitor them and the enemy. Shikamaru suspects Amado is executing a master plan. Eida observes Kawaki using chakra erasure and a Shadow Clone to deceive his family and bodyguards, allowing him to leave the village at night. Boruto senses the real Kawaki’s departure and alerts Naruto. Eida informs Code, who teleports to the woods near the village to meet Kawaki. Naruto dispatches the Sensory Team via Ino to locate Kawaki, prompting Boruto to follow. Code subdues Kawaki, who offers himself as bait for Isshiki’s death. Code intends to become an Otsutsuki god. Boruto intervenes, stopping Code and realizing Kawaki’s reckless plan. Kawaki demands to speak with Code’s contact, flustering Eida. Boruto promises to protect Kawaki as Kawaki protects Naruto, activating his Karma while Eida reacts to Boruto.
