Ep. 8: Sakamoto and Himiko encounter Shiki Murasaki while discussing survival strategies in Btooom!

A flashback reveals Sakamoto meeting Himiko in the Btooom! game, where she hid after being rejected by real-life friends. He respects her privacy despite sensing her distress. Meanwhile, Tyrannos Japan’s CEO monitors the psychological warfare among players. At night, Himiko asks Ryouta why he saved her; he explains that his digital life in the game felt more real than reality, prompting him to rescue the Himiko he knew. Overcome with emotion, she cries, torn between revealing her true identity and her past trauma. They encounter Shiki Murasaki, a survivor who lost an arm to Masahito Date for chips. Shiki warns Himiko against trusting men and explains that six chips are needed for one person to leave, testing their loyalty. Ryouta plans to gather enough chips for a helicopter escape for all four, including Kiyoshi and Shiki. Despite trusting Ryouta, Himiko remains hesitant to confess who she is. Finally, Masahito is shown returning to the island to treat Kiyoshi’s wounds.
