Ep. 5: Ryouta investigates a cliffside attack by Himiko while uncovering the island's disappearance mystery.
Ryouta returns to Kiyoshi with food supplies and recalls his mother’s suicide attempt. A corpse, identified as a naked Mitsuo, floats downstream, prompting Ryouta to investigate upstream. He encounters Himiko on a cliff, who attacks with a corrosive-BIM. Ryouta attempts to reason with her, but she assaults him with a stun gun. He defends himself, causing her to stun herself. Ryouta takes her weapons and realizes she was assaulted by Mitsuo. He carries her back to camp, deactivating a hidden timer-BIM she feared would be used against her. Himiko reveals that everyone on the island was chosen by an acquaintance to disappear. Kiyoshi invites her to join them, but she refuses, noting there is nothing left to return to. Ryouta understands his family chose him for defiance. The group is then attacked by komodo dragons.
