Ep. 2: Assassins leave baby Miri with Kyutaro while hunting her mother and failing a drug kingpin mission

After killing Miri’s father, the assassins leave the infant with Kyutaro to research her mother’s identity without revealing her existence. Kyutaro, already frustrated by their poor performance, receives a visit from rival assassin Ogino. The pair return to find Miri has destroyed their apartment and must take her on their next assignment to kill a drug kingpin. Kazuki’s infiltration fails when Miri exposes him, forcing Rei to rescue them and flee without eliminating the target. Kyutaro dismisses them from the mission but reveals he has found a likely candidate for Miri’s mother, offering relief to the duo. Meanwhile, Ogino successfully assassinates the kingpin and his guards, completing the objective the others failed to achieve.
