With funds depleted, Kazuki and Rei seek employment from Kyutaro, who assigns them intelligence gathering tasks instead of assassination duties. A flu outbreak forces the day-care to close, leaving Miri in their care while she completes a school project on her parents' professions. To maintain their cover, they lie about their jobs and attempt to work while she sleeps. Rei falls asleep and sneaks out to follow Kazuki, arriving at Kyutaro's bar where he claims to be babysitting for extra income. Suspicious, Kyutaro offers to watch Miri so they can finish their work. Fearing she might reveal the truth, they hurry to complete the mission. Kyutaro tells Miri that Kazuki is a comedian and Rei an oil baron. He eventually realizes they are raising her but remains indifferent as long as their work quality is unaffected. Miri presents her report to her class, causing a stir among the mothers who believe her fathers are secret oil billionaires.
