Ep. 3: Kazuki and Rei confront Miri's troubled mother and decide to become her fathers.

Rei doubts Kazuki’s desire to keep Miri, noting assassins make poor parents. After apologizing, Kazuki obtains the address of Miri’s mother from an angry Kyutaro. Rei, traumatized by his own harsh upbringing, avoids Miri initially. At the location, Kazuki finds a cheap bar where Miri’s mother works as a singer and prostitute with an abusive boyfriend. While Rei watches Miri in a park, he relives memories of his father training him to kill and loses sight of her. Miri’s mother, broken by her life, resents Miri’s birth and refuses responsibility, disgustingly rejecting her child. Rei encounters two policemen attempting to take Miri as a lost child. He considers abandoning her but chooses to be better than his father, retrieving her and claiming to be her Papa. Kazuki and Rei then take Miri home with them as her fathers.
