Mikuni abandoned his musical dreams to serve as an executive secretary for his father, who prioritized corporate image over saving his terminally ill sister, Takako. Denied overseas treatment, Takako fell into a permanent coma, prompting Mikuni to enter the Financial District with Midas Bank. In the present, Msyu reflects on her bond with Kimimaro, who questions the nature of Assets taking human forms. After witnessing an Entre harass his Asset, Kimimaro suppresses his anger until Msyu’s influence leads him to retaliate physically. Msyu develops a fascination with human behavior, asking Kimimaro to explain kisses and attempting to initiate one. Later, Kimimaro observes buildings vanishing as he travels home at night.
