Chrono’s team, Striders, competes in a U20-qualifying tournament at the first Card Capital shop. This event serves as their final opportunity to secure a spot in the U20 division. With Kazuma absent, Chrono and Taiyou must navigate the bracket alone. The duo advances to the grand finals against Team Trinity Dragon. During the first game, Taiyou is defeated by Karl. Misaki informs Chrono that if Kazuma does not arrive within ten minutes, Striders will forfeit by default. Kazuma appears at the last possible second to participate in the second game against Kei, saving the team from elimination.
