Kouji engages in combat with Ryuzu, who systematically binds the twelve Zodiac Time Beast cards. Ryuzu utilizes the power of Demiurge to stack his deck with triggers, ultimately defeating Kouji. However, Kouji activates a device that awakens Chrono Dran. To counter this, Ryuzu summons Chronofang Tiger to stop him. Although the Tiger knocks Kouji unconscious, he manages to free Chrono Dran, which then returns to Chrono's possession.
