Due to Shouma's modification of the summoning ritual, Kouji remains immune to Ryuzu's influence and proceeds into the Tower of Light to confront her. Chrono and his companions subsequently enter the structure, where they become separated. Each member prepares to battle a representative of the Company, with the exception of Chrono. In a final encounter, Taiyou fights Hiroki, emerges victorious, and extends an offer of friendship despite their past conflicts. This sequence marks the conclusion of Taiyou's confrontation with Hiroki within the tower.
