Ep. 13: Naoki fights Suiko while Ren Suzugamori reveals his Shadow Paladin deck to Aichi.
Naoki engages Suiko in a cardfight after an offhand comment, attempting to prove his skill with Armor Break Dragon. He discards three cards to boost his ace’s power and critical value, eliminating Suiko’s front-row units. However, Suiko defends effectively using most of her hand. On her next turn, she secures victory with Chief Nurse, Shamsiel by manipulating her damage zone to enhance her units' power. Defeated, Naoki apologizes to his friends and acknowledges his weakness. Shingo offers encouragement and promises to train him. Ren Suzugamori, captain of the Fukuhara High Vanguard Club, appears and briefly shows Aichi his reversioned Shadow Paladin deck, suggesting a match before retracting the offer and dismissing the group. As the Miyaji Cardfight Club and Team Dreadnought depart, Leon informs Aichi that defeating Fukuhara High at the regional qualifying tournament is necessary to challenge Dreadnought at the VF High School Championship.
