Ms. Shimizu arrives at Hideki's apartment unexpectedly and spends the night without explaining her reason. She questions whether he prefers Persocoms to humans. The following day, Hideki discovers that Shinbo has not slept at all. When Hideki shares the details of the previous night, Shinbo reacts with extreme distress. Later, while walking home, Hideki witnesses Ms. Shimizu and Shinbo sharing a romantic embrace. This unexpected encounter leaves Hideki confused by the sudden development in their relationship dynamics.
