Hideki prepares for his first practice exam and visits a bookstore to purchase an English dictionary, having forgotten his at his parents' home. At the store, Chi discovers a picture book titled "A City with No People," which immediately captures her interest. Hideki decides to buy the picture book for Chi instead of the dictionary he originally intended to get. Shinbo lends his own dictionary to Hideki to help with his studies. While Shinbo instructs Hideki on how to use the dictionary, Chi finishes reading the picture book, leading to an unusual event occurring.
